Outreach & Christian Living

Living Our Faith Missions - The Living Our Faith Missions Committee has committed our church to be part of a Faith Build for Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.  We will be partnering with five other churches on this build.  The home will be constructed in the Renaissance on the Park neighborhood in Fitchburg.  Habitat is currently working on twenty-six homes in that neighborhood.  A Faith Build is when up to 12 churches come together to provide the prayer, financial support and labor on a Habitat house.  Each organization provides an Apostle’s share (1/12) of the funding and labor to build one Habitat home.

On May 13th, there will be a Bless the Build ceremony at 10:00 a.m., at 2510 Equity Lane, Fitchburg.  This is the address of the house we will be building.

As part of our commitment, we must provide 8 workers for 5 work weeks, 2 days per week, this year.  The dates are as follows:  June 6th & 10th; July 11th and 15th; August 1st and 5th; September 12th and 17th; and October 3rd and 7th.

There will also be Fellowship Weeks, when volunteers from all the churches can work.  Those dates are:  7/18, 7/22, 9/5, 9/9, 10/24, and 10/28.

In addition to volunteers to do the actual work on the house, we will need lunch prepared for each work date.

Family Mission Trip - We still have spots available for the Family Mission Trip to Raleigh, NC in July.  If you would like more information, please contact either Pastor Jason or Kathy Smith.

Connections - The Connections Team has signed us up to participate in the Oregon Summerfest Parade this year.  The date is 6/25 and the parade starts at 12:30.  More information will be coming soon from Anne Staton and Jenny Nelson.  Please keep the date open!

Thank You - We received a thank you card from the Healing House.  “Healing House would like to thank each and every one of you for your generous contribution.  It is congregations such as yours that will help make Healing House a reality in the near future.”
