Connecting our Mission and Holy Communion
Starting Sunday, June 4 we will be serving both grape juice and wine for Holy Communion as we strive to make new disciples of Jesus Christ and to be hospitable to our guests. Many of our guests come from other faith traditions that serve wine with communion instead of grape juice. In an effort to help people from those traditions feel welcome and to connect with God through Holy Communion in a way that is familiar to them, wine will served be in one chalice and grape juice in the other. The congregation will be clearly told which chalice and line have grape juice and which will have wine to avoid confusion. Gluton free wafers will be available at both stations.
