Family & Children's Ministries

NO Sunday School on September 3rd - please enjoy worshipping with your family! It will be Easter in September as we continue with “The Story” sermon series. Tables will be set up with crayons and activities for children during worship.

Rotational Sunday School kicks off on September 10th! Our first Bible story will be focused on Paul & the early church and we will begin recruiting leaders to teach workshops including art, music, video, cooking, games & science and Shepherds to move with the same group each week to the different workshops. Also, on September 10th - Blessing of the Backpacks ~ during 9AM service: All children are invited to bring their backpacks to church to receive a special blessing during worship for the upcoming school year. Teachers & other school personnel are also invited to bring their “backpacks” (whatever you carry to and from school).

Confirmation Class: Calling all 7th & 8th Grade Students (& any high schoolers who have not been confirmed)!! Confirmation class begins on Wednesday, September 13th from 6-7PM. If you did not receive an invitation letter or were unable to attend the orientation meeting, please contact Emily Shook,

Bible Sunday Coming Soon - October 1st!

The Family & Children's Ministry Team is very excited to celebrate a special milestone in our children's faith journey by receiving their very own Bible. We will celebrate Bible Sunday on 10/1/17 during the 9AM worship service with a special blessing. All current 3rd graders and preschoolers new to Sunday School will receive a Bible. Also, all Confirmation students will receive a student Bible to use on their Confirmation journey. If you are new to People’s Church and would like your child (ages preschool to 3rd grade) to receive a Bible, please email Emily Shook ( Also, please let Emily know if you would like your child to be included on Bible Sunday.
