Spiritual Care & Development
First Mondays is a gathering of folks aged 50+ who meet for fellowship and fun on the first Monday of each month, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. We meet in the Great Room at church for a potluck lunch followed by the program. The February Program (February 5th) will be looking at the prayerful art of Ukrainian Egg Dying, presented by Rev. Ken and Joann Gelhaus. If this piques your curiosity, come check it out!
There will be a Care Team training at church on February 14. The Care Team provides support and non-medical care to elders in our community who are homebound, and individuals and families experiencing illness or some other adversity. If you would like to learn more about the Care Team and what we do, please contact Pastor Kate at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Growth Groups begin the week of February 18th! There will be a Growth Group fair on February 4th and 11th, between services. Sign-up is also available after the 5pm Saturday service on February 3rd and 10th. Check out the website, www.peoplesumc.org, under the “Grow” tab to sign up or to request more information.
Meal Train Ministry
When something major happens in a family’s life—a birth, death, major illness, or other challenge—providing meals can be a tangible way to show our love and care. We are looking to put together a list of people who would be willing to be contacted to make meals when someone is in need. If you are interested in serving this way, please mark the connection slip during service or talk to Pastor Kate.
