Volunteer Opportunities

Church Garden Volunteers Needed

It is time once again to work on the gardens around the church.  The Soul Gardeners would like to invite new volunteers to join us.  Our group is not large, and we are all getting older so some new hands would be greatly appreciated. No experience is necessary. Although Monday mornings are when we try to work as a group, volunteers may choose any day and time that works best for them. We will garden starting at 10am on the 21st, won't be meeting on Memorial Day, and will gather at 9am on Mondays, barring rain, for the rest of the season. Please contact Anne Staton at 335-3249 for more information or join us on a Monday morning to give it a try.

Herb Garden Lead Volunteer Needed

You may have noticed the small herb garden outside the kitchen door or maybe even enjoyed some of the fresh herbs growing in it. The person who has been in charge of this garden since it began is stepping down, so a new volunteer is needed to oversee this small space. It is one that is easier to work in because it is a raised bed and is contained. Planting, watering, and a small amount of weeding will be required.  If you are interested in talking more about this opportunity or want to volunteer for the job please contact Reggie Matzke at 608-206-7741 or alift@frontier.com.
