An Update and Thank You Note from Pastor Jason
I want to extended the deepest appreciation for all of the thoughts, prayers and the many kind gestures shared with my family and me as I've recovered from my motorcycle accident. Words cannot express how much your support and love have meant to me over the past few weeks.
As a quick update, in terms my injuries, I had seven ribs broken in nine places, a broken collar bone, a punctured lung, and a small brain bleed as a result of hitting a deer on Hwy D. Recovery has been slow but thankfully very steady. The bleed and the punctured lung are healed and the bones will heal in a couple of months (hopefully without surgery). I am going to be back in the office, starting today, for at least a few hours each day.
Finally, but certainly not least, I would like to thank all of the church staff and the lay volunteers who have helped care for aspects of ministry that I regularly tend to in my absence. I have known that I am blessed to serve with so many gifted, gracious people here at People's Church. The actions and love shown in service over the past few weeks have put an exclamation mark on that sentiment in my mind and heart.
With heart felt appreciation and in the love of Christ,
